Photos taken in Thailand

I thought that I lost these photos when my camera's chip decided to fail on me... but I found them saved on a CD.
I guess I'm more organized then I thought.
Here are a couple, the rest are under my Photography tab. I picked my favorites from the 800+ that I took while I was there.

Photography

I re-scanned a bunch of my black and white photography from college, and some new photos I've taken, and posted it under my photography tab...
I'm excited because I'm going to be working on a colaborative piece with my little sister Heather, who is an amazing photographer who lives in Milwaukee, WI.

charcoal mania!!

I did a few charcoal portraits for commision.
I think they turned out pretty sweet. Although somtimes its a little tricky to get them to look the same as the photograph. One drawing is my girlfiend's dad and stepmom, and the other drawing is my grandparents when they were young-uns.

Picking up on a forgotten painting...

Making this art blog has inspired me to paint, because I realize that my 2008- current tab is pretty pathetic. I need to add some more paintings to that shit!!!
Its beautiful out today, although Kelly did have to scrape ice off her windshield this morning :( , so I'm gonna work on a painting that I started over 6 months ago. It's just been sitting around because it's huge and I got discouraged...
Its one painting that's chopped in the middle... 2 big panels of wood, 2'x2' and 2' x 4'. Life sized. But, I dont think I used the right sealant on the wood because the wood just wants to soak up my paint, which makes it frustrating to paint because I have to use so much god damn paint! And I have to build up way more layers to cover up the wood grain so it doesnt show through the paint...
And when I finally finish the beast, I'm gonna have to find a kick-ass, shiney sealant to put over the top. Blah, I should've used acrylic for this one. Because I'm gonna have to wait 3 months before I can put sealant over the top of the oil paint! Although I dont own any acrylic...
There's another thing for the good ol' list.
